Overview

The NEBOSH Award in Environmental Awareness at Work focuses on topics which provide candidates with an overall awareness of environmental issues including an overview of an environmental management system (EMS) and what certification of an EMS can mean to an organization.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:

  • Identify an environmental management system’s main component and the certification process.

  • Identify the main sources, controls and impacts of environmental noise
  • Identify waste types
  • Identify the waste hierarchy and ways to effectively manage waste
